A title such as “The Power of Fear” might seem out of place on a blog that is dedicated to helping you to build faith and a mindset for success.
But let’s not be blind to the fact that there is an enemy in this world, and this enemy CAN have power in your life.
Notice I used the word “CAN” have power – I did not say “DOES” have power. What is the difference?
The difference is your permission!
Yes you give the enemy and all the negative forces permission by your choices. You choose to build faith into your life, or you allow fear to take over. If you don’t choose faith, fear is your default choice, and believe me the media and everything else around you will join in the chorus.
A recent newspaper article really got my attention.
It said: “Prius panic may be self-perpetuating”. (Perhaps you saw this). Basically “the experts” are now saying that because of all of the negative media attention to the problem some of the Toyota models are experiencing, any slight difference in the handling of a car of this make can be misunderstood as being a sign of danger. Once this happens, fear grips the driver’s heart and then they EXPECT the worst.
What you expect – you attract.
A fear driven expectation is very dangerous!
It can certainly lead to a disaster. Some professionals believe that in some cases, the accidents that have happened with this model vehicle can be attributed more to this fear and expectation than to a true malfunction of the vehicle. (This is not to say that some vehicles DO have malfunctions).
Is this possible? YES.
How can we be so sure? Once again:
What you expect – you attract.
- A fear driven expectation can lead to disaster.
- A faith driven expectation will lead to victory and success.
It all depends on what you are feeding your mind. It is very difficult, even impossible to exercise a faith driven expectation when you have been feeding your mind with all of the negative news, emotions and chatter around you.
What does it take to maintain a faith driven expectation?
- Stay away from all negative news. (Close you ears to it).
- Feed your mind with positive and challenging affirmations (free affirmations ebook here), quotes, books, recordings every day.
- Speak only positive words.
- Train your mind to think on the positive.
- Train your mind to spontaneously look for solutions whenever you are confronted with a challenge.
- Download these free recordings (audio and video) right now and get started with training your mind think on the positive.
- Pick up a copy of this book The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hanson and Les Hewitt (I am reading it right now, and it will certainly help you) – you can get it from this link (aff), from your local bookstore or even your local library.
There is one thing for sure, when there is a real problem, you need a clear mind to deal with it. A fear filled mind is never clear – even little things can send it into panic. A faith filled mind is more likely to stay clear and focus on solutions.
Take action right now against all fear in your life, because:
