<p><em><strong>If you are not making mistakes then you are not doing anything</strong> says John Wooden</em>. Many other highly successful men and women have been heard to say the very same thing. </p>
<p><strong>Yes, making mistakes are a part of life and learning.</strong> You and I learn from doing things and getting results. In general terms:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Positive results</strong> teach you that you probably did something right. You found a good way to get the result you wanted.</li>
<li><strong>Negative results</strong> teach you that something went wrong. You made a mistake, or what you were trying to do did not work. </li>
</ul>
<p>Usually when make a mistake with small consequences it is easy to brush it off and learn from it right? But what about the big mistakes in life. Everyone makes those too. They are not so easy to brush off.</p>
<p>In fact this is where too many people get stuck. Why?</p>
<p>There are at least three big dangers you may face after making a wrong decision that has big consequences:</p>
<ul>
<li>You may feel as if you are the only one who would be capable of doing something that stupid. This happens so easily when you make a mistake that was at least in part your fault, and it caused a big problem.<strong><em> So you may tend to withdraw from those around you.</em></strong><br/><br/></li>
<li><strong><em>You may even begin to fear making mistakes and so you find making decisions to be difficult.</em></strong> <strong>Warning:</strong> If you fall for this one, it will paralyze you and stop you from moving forward in life. </li>
</ul>
<blockquote><p>Elbert Hubbard is quoted as saying: The greatest <em>mistake</em> you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one. </p>
</blockquote>
<ul>
<li>You may simply shrug it off and move on. But what did you learn? <strong>Actually this attitude tends to be one of denial. </strong></li>
</ul>
<p align="center"><strong>Any one of these dangers may cause you to get stuck in your life journey. </strong></p>
<p align="left">In this series of articles we are following the <a href = "http://www.LifeStyleFreedomClub.com/cmd.php?af=1039353" title = "Lifestyle Freedom Club" target = "blank">210 Day Affirmation Challenge</a> made by John Di Lemme of Lifestyle Freedom Club. Today’s affirmation is #152 which declares:</p>
<h3 align="center">I am Making Miracles out of my past mistakes.</h3>
<p><strong>Yes you CAN turn your mistakes into miracles. </strong></p>
<p>Notice I said: “YOU can turn your mistakes into miracles. It won’t happen by itself. There is no “if I ignore this problem it will go away”. No, you cannot be passive about it. </p>
<p>If you think about the three dangers listed above, all of them are passive reactions. So let’s react actively. How? By facing them head these dangers head on and turning them around. You can do it!</p>
<p align="center"><strong>You have to take action.</strong> Remember, the real danger is summed up in one word “passivity”. </p>
<p align="left"><strong>How to create miracles from your mistakes:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Stop,</strong> take some time alone to gather your thoughts. <br/><br/></li>
<li><strong>Face your mistakes and then forgive yourself.</strong> Yes, this is a very important step. You cannot find solutions when your mind is still in “blame” mode. <br/><br/></li>
<li><strong>Look for lessons learned.</strong> As you do this you will find you have taken another step towards becoming a better person. This can only have positive results for you and those around you. <br/><br/></li>
<li><strong>Start focusing </strong>on possible solutions.<br/><br/></li>
<li>If your error caused you to make a wrong turn in your life, deliberately spend extra time each day <strong>focusing on your life passion</strong> (your WHY). <br/><br/>As you do this, you will find you will see opportunities to get back onto the road that will lead you to your ultimate dreams and passion in life. It may not be the same road as you were on before, but it WILL lead you to your destination. <strong>Just stay focused! </strong></li>
</ul>

<p>No matter what obstacles or trials you may face on the way to achieving your dreams, there are many things that you <strong>CAN</strong> control. </p>
<ul>
<li>You can choose to let a situation control you, or you can decide to conquer the situation. You choose how to react to the situation.<br />
<span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span>
</li>
<li>You can control the decisions you make as a result of situations that you face in life.<br />
<span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span>
</li>
<li>Everything you face has the potential to make you bitter or better. <strong>You decide.</strong><br />
<span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span>
</li>
<li>You can control whether to continue training and preparing yourself each and every day to reach your highest potential, or you can give in and quit because the discipline and sacrifice gets too hard.<br />

<li>You can control whether to continue actively fighting for your dreams and living for your why, or you can simply give up when things get tough.  </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>I have often heard it said:</strong> &#8220;Today is the first day of the rest of your life&#8221;. This may be true, but it is also potentially a very <strong>PASSIVE</strong> declaration. </p>
<p><strong>How about:</strong><br />
&#8220;I am making today the first day of the BEST part of my life&#8221;. This is an <strong>ACTIVE</strong> declaration. </p>
<p>Why?</p>
<blockquote><p>Because it means that <strong>TODAY</strong> you are actively doing something that will ensure that your life IS moving towards a new and higher level. </p></blockquote>
<p><strong>This means:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will be doing things that are motivated by your why (your main purpose in life). 
</li>
<li>
You will have a plan, and you will be working your plan.<br />

</li>
<li>
You ARE moving towards fulfilling your dreams.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://mindsetforliving.com/images/dreamstime_9882029.jpg" alt="Stressed man" align="left" />Our daily lives are full of encounters, impacts and impressions. Some are positive and some are negative. We deal with those encounters according to the belief and value system that is already archived in our subconscious minds.</p>
<p>These archives in our mind were created across the years by our experiences, our reactions to them and the decisions we made as a result of these experiences.</p>
<p>What? Your belief and value system was not created by your environment, by your parents or by people in your life?</p>
<p>Nope. They were created by your reactions to that environment and the people you have been around across the years. <strong>YOU</strong> created the foundation that resides in your subconscious mind.</p>
<p><strong>So who&#8217;s to blame?</strong><br />
Do you see something here. So many people blame outside circumstances and other people for the way they are today. But it is no one else&#8217;s fault but yours and mine. You and I are who we are because of the way we reacted to or responded to the many influences on our lives.</p>
<p>Sure, some folk had a kick start because of early strong positive influences in their lives. But they still had to allow those influences to directly influence them positively. They had to make a decision to let those influences take a part in creating their value system.</p>
<p>Every time you come in contact with a person or a circumstance in your life that impacts you either negatively or positively, you do <strong>one of three things.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Assimilate it and store it away. </strong><br />
There are times when a daily event (or events) causes such an impact on you, that you spend some conscious time thinking about it. You may rehearse an experience (whether it be a good one or a bad one) for some time after the event.</p>
<p>Of course if it was a bad experience, then the emotions that keep coming back as you go over and over the situation in your mind will be negative.</p>
<p><a title="tweet this" href="http://www.twitter.com/home?status=http://sn.im/on6nn+Reading:+How+Daily+Impacts+And+Encounters+Affect+Your+Mind" target="blank"><img src="http://www.mindsetforliving.com/images/tweet.jpg" alt="Tweet this" align="left" /></a>If you allow these rehearsals to continue in your mind, the emotions you felt when the event happened will be stored away along with the memory. Then every time something similar happens in your future, those negative emotions will appear without control.</p>
<p>If it was a good experience, that same will happen, but in reverse. The experience will be stored in your mind as a positive memory and will be attached to a good emotional experience.</p>
<p><strong>Ignore it or filter it out. </strong><br />
Perhaps you have already been training your brain to stay on the positive. This will mean that you are already learning to filter out the negative impressions. You will not allow them to go into your subconscious mind and contaminate your belief and value system.</p>
<p>Of course this means that you will be always on the alert. There <strong>IS</strong> a war going on.</p>
<p>You are born a champion. You were born to conquer. But there is an enemy that is constantly attempting to pull you into the negative realm. To fight this war and win, you need to stay alert. Your mind needs to be <strong>ACTIVE.</strong></p>
<p>Now ignoring a situation is not the same as filtering it out. If you do not filter it out <strong>ACTIVELY</strong>, then simply ignoring the event will not be sufficient to stop it from reaching your subconscious mind. It will enter slip into into your value system unnoticed and be there to influence your reactions in the future.</p>
<p><strong>Make a decision based on the encounter. </strong><br />
<img src="http://mindsetforliving.com/images/dreamstime_4486778.jpg" alt="What will I do?" align="right" />This decision goes into your subconscious mind and becomes a part of your value system and also creates prejudices.</p>
<ul>
<li>This decision is going to enter your subconscious mind and affect your value and belief system.</li>
<li>This decision will influence future decisions in your life.</li>
<li>This is another reason that the decision to forgive (where there has been a negative encounter with another person) is so important. This decision will affect YOU more than it will affect the other person.</li>
<li>The decision you make will add to or take away from the foundation of beliefs and values that are already stored in your subconscious.</li>
<li>I am sure you can see that the decision you make needs to be a positive one. Make sure you note your decision in your journal. This will help you to commit yourself to the firm decision you made.</li>
</ul>
<p>Yes you <strong>CAN</strong> train your brain. You <strong>CAN</strong> change your belief and value system into one that will allow you to be the champion you were born to be. To do this you need to be alert and active in your mind.</p>
<p>I know you will stay active and alert because</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When you have created a true mindset for living you will be <strong><em>actively involved</em></strong> in everything you do. Now this may seem to be a strange comment.</p>

<p>Absolutely!</p>
<p>Many people spend their days on this planet involved in so many tasks and projects, but they are rarely ever ACTIVELY involved in what much of what they are doing.</p>
<h2><strong>The Passive Person:</strong></h2>
<p>A passive person is simply a bystander of life. He or she watches life and the world go by while dreaming of better days. The passive person has usually become resigned to their lifestyle which they don&#8217;t enjoy but simply put up with.</p>
<p>They get their &#8220;buzz&#8221; from dreaming of the day when their circumstances will magically change. Passive people tend to scoff at the idea of having a real purpose and goals for their lives. Consequently they never have any defined idea of what they really want in life. </p>
<p>Making dreams become a reality is not a part of the mindset of a very passive person. Such folk do not have a mindset for living, because they are not really living. They are simply existing.</p>
<h2><strong>The Active Person:</strong></h2>
<p><img src="http://mindsetforliving.com/images/activedog.jpg" alt="Active Dog" align="right" /><strong>What does it mean to be actively involved?</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>When you are actively involved in something it means your project has your complete attention and you have more than one of your five senses occupied.
<p><strong>Note:</strong> This does not mean you will be obsessed with your project to the exclusion of other important things in life. It simply means that while you are working on your task, you will be fully involved</li>
<li> You will have a clear vision of where you are going because you have set goals and created a work plan for each day. Consequently your attitude will always be full of expectancy.<br />
<br/></li>
<li> Everything you involve yourself in will lead to the fulfillment of your dreams, because that is what you expect to happen. Your goals and daily work plan will help you fulfill your dreams as you follow your plan of action each day.<br />
<br/></li>
<li> Difficulties and obstacles will cross your path of course since these are a part of life. However because you have a purpose and direction, you will soon find a way to turn any difficulty into a new opportunity.
<p>When your focus is fixed on your purpose it will be easier to see the bigger picture when difficult things happen.</p>
<p>When your mind is active it is easier to creatively seek solutions to obstacles.</li>
<li> An active person is always interested in learning new things. They are genuinely interested in the world and the people around them. They seek to be actively involved in everything they do. Their minds are most always active.</li>
</ol>
<p>As you read through this post, you may have discovered an area of your life that is still a little passive. </p>
