<p>Or is it one of those obstacles in life that you either stress about, put up with or find a way to overcome? (Notice that pressure does NOT have to cause stress.) </p>
<blockquote><p>
<strong>Stress happens when you react negatively to pressure.</strong></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Interesting fact:</strong><br />
It is rather interesting that the past two weeks have been full of pressure days for me. Not high pressure, but today is the 16th day of a 17 day &#8220;marathon&#8221; of a work schedule with no break. Most days were not long hours at all but I am a night person, so early mornings are very difficult for me. (By early I mean 4.20am alarms every day). </p>
<p><strong>By the way: </strong>the company does not do that to you. When you work in the service industry your whole goal is to please your customers, guests or patients. People&#8217;s needs and plans do not have a schedule that fits with yours. This is understood when you choose to work in this industry. At least I hope it is. If not, you will either be miserable for the years you choose to stay, or you will quit. </p>
<p>Ok, that last paragraph was a &#8220;mini rant&#8221; <img src='http://mindsetforliving.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
<strong><br />
The pressure for me was </strong>my body resisting the constant and consistent early mornings and the physical tiredness that hindered me from keeping my regular schedule of writing. I don&#8217;t like getting behind on my schedule, but when you leave home at 4.30am to arrive home again at 11pm, your home agenda will be affected. It can happen to us all at times. </p>
<blockquote><p>This may not sound like pressure to you, but as a friend once commented: &#8220;What is easy for you may be hard for me, and visa versa&#8221; In the light of this comment, we can conclude that pressure is really a personal experience. </p>
<p>Your pressure may leave me exclaiming &#8220;what you call that pressure?&#8221; You may look at what I call pressure and respond the same way.</p></blockquote>
<p>I found this time to be a great opportunity to learn to pace myself, take rests in the afternoons (which is not a regular habit of mine), and not allow myself to worry about deadlines. </p>
<p>When your schedule is under pressure it is good to remember the quote: <strong><strong>All you can do you can do, so all you can do is enough. </strong></strong></p>

<p>Yes you can either adopt a &#8220;grin and bear it&#8221; attitude or you can take advantage of it to refine your life and dream. <strong>The decision is yours. </strong></p>
<p>Today&#8217;s declaration is telling your brain what you intend to do with pressure in your life! </p>
<p><strong>Pressure times in our lives are a great opportunity to stop and reevaluate. </strong><br />
Here are some questions to help you to evaluate your present direction to make sure you are still on course. There are times when we create our own pressure. One huge way to bring extra pressure to your life is to get off course. </p>
<ol>
<li>Have I taken on extra commitments that are overbalancing my daily schedule? For example, do the extra commitments I have taken on rob my family time, personal time or daily learning and training program time?<br />
<br/>
</li>
<li>
Do I live in constant noise with no time ever (or hardly ever) to simply relax in quietness and solitude on a regular basis? This is important for your balance mental and emotional health! </p>
<p>It is also important to spend time alone aside from all the noise to dream, meditate and plan.
</li>
<li>
Is my life moving in the direction of achieving my dreams, or am I involved in activities that are creating detours or obstacles for my dreams?</li>
</ol>

<li>Take some time alone to think about the three questions mentioned above.

Resigning to a situation or just coping with it is the same as giving up. </p>
<p>However I know that <strong>you</strong> won’t ever give up, because <strong>YOU are a champion</strong> and you are called to conquer!</p>
<p>Here are some tips to help you conquer the circumstances that life may throw at you.</p>
<h4><strong>1. Confront.</strong></h4>
<p>Ah that nasty word that not everyone likes to hear. I know it is often easier to avoid or ignore a situation or event than it is to confront it. But avoiding something is to live in denial and conquerors don’t live in denial.</p>
<p>No situation is going to change if we ignore it.</p>
<p>Conquerors face the truth and they face it with faith and a positive mindset focused on winning. You are a conqueror, right?</p>
<h4><strong>2. Consult </strong></h4>
<p>This is where you can begin to understand the importance of keeping a journal. When you have a record of the experiences of your life and how you conquered them, it serves as a positive encouragement in times when something else shows up to challenge you.</p>
<blockquote><p>
Your journal may contain notes about your relationship with God and how you saw His Hand changing impossible situations for you as you stood in faith. </p>
<p>These will certainly inspire you to stand in faith once more and expect to see yet another miracle happen in your life as you face a new and challenging situation.</p></blockquote>
<p>You will have noted your strategies, your solutions and the advice you received during challenging situations in the past as well as your decisions. These will also certainly serve to once again help you discover the solutions for the present challenge.</p>
<h4><strong>3. Challenge</strong></h4>
<p>Everything that happens to you in life will either make you or break you. The choice is yours.<br />
Since you are a champion, I know you will choose to take this event and make it into something that will change you for the better.</p>
<p>When there are important choices to make the best thing to do is to find some time alone to be quiet for a while. Of course your journal and a pencil or pen will be with you.</p>
<p>The first thing to do is to make sure your emotions are quiet. You will not want to make any important decisions based on emotions. Your decisions will be based on what is the best for you and your family. <strong>The decisions you make should take you closer to your life’s purpose.</strong></p>

<h4><strong>4. Choice</strong></h4>
<p>The decision (or decisions) you make that will lead you to conquer will be made after you:</p>

<li>Face the facts. No burying your head in the sand or ignoring anything hoping it will go away. It won’t.</li>
<li>Have taken the time to reflect, and consult with your journal.</li>
<li>Have made sure your emotions are well under control</li>
<li>Have taken the time to note down the pros and cons, and taken a good hard look at them.</li>
<li>Face the consequences that may occur as a result of your decision.</li>
<li>Decide you will deal with these consequences (NOT resign yourself to them).</li>
<li>Accept the challenge to confront everything that may occur and pursue victory.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>5. Create</strong></h4>
<p>Let your creativity flow. Lots of very positive solutions can some when your mind is in a creative mode.  Above all remember:</p>

<strong>**</strong> We may be facing difficult times as far as the economy goes.<br />
<strong>**</strong> We may be facing difficulties in family relationships, work relationships, with friends or foes.<br />
<strong>**</strong> We may be facing many impossibilities and obstacles that seem to be holding us back from realizing our dreams.<br />

BUT</strong></p>
<blockquote><h3><strong>We ALWAYS have a choice! We are born to conquer! </strong></h3>
<p>Are you focused on coping or conquering?</p></blockquote>
<p>A famous evangelist you may well have heard of, Oral Roberts, often proclaimed in his preaching:</p>
<blockquote><h3><strong>You can&#8217;t go under for going over! </strong></h3>
<p>Are you focused on going over? Or are you struggling with fears that you will go under?</p></blockquote>
<p>That can be you! You can live a life that is so focused on conquering it has no time for defeat. It depends on you! You may find yourself having to make a choice many times a day. The choice will be:</p>
<p>Am I going to resign to this situation? Or am I going to find a way to conquer it or in spite of it?</p>
<p>What is your answer? Your answer is the first step in the direction of your choice. </p>
<p>It takes faith to conquer. Here is an excellent book that will help you turn your live around to focus on conquering in every area of your life. </p>
