Do you have the stamina required to really succeed?
The journey to success is not very likely to be a short one. Anything we do in life that is worthwhile, whether it be for business or pleasure is going to take some work and some time to achieve. I know there are many emails and advertisements flying around the internet that will try and tell you that instant or overnight success is possible.
Overnight success
Believe me there is no such thing, UNLESS there has been much time and effort put into achieving the goal beforehand. (You can download a FREE ebook entitled 279 Days to Overnight Success from here. It is completely free with no affiliate links I highly recommend it, especially if your activities include writing.)
If you do download this ebook and read it
, you will see that it is very possible that one day everything will all come together and suddenly you will “fall into” success. This may be perceived as overnight success, but of course it is not.
The “overnight success” was actually preceded by a long journey of weeks, months or even years of hard work which laid the foundation or ground work for your success. The instant part of this success was all that was seen by others. Few or maybe even no one saw the long hard months or years you put in to achieve this great result.
It takes stamina to reach real and lasting success.
- When you have put at lot of your own efforts into a project that brings you success, you value the results so much more.
- We all always tend to value things according to what they cost us to achieve or obtain. The more effort you put into something, the more you value and appreciate the result when it comes.
- This does not mean that you will not be able to enjoy some results along the way. Of course you will. But don’t camp on the first little success.
- In other words don’t stay there. Enjoy the little successes on the way and then keep pressing onwards to achieve your big goal.
Do shortcuts exist?
Those who are focused on looking for shortcuts basically have a lottery mindset. These are the folks who are constantly looking for shortcuts or the easy way out of all situations. Themes such as “The Lazy Man’s Way to Riches” certainly appeal to this group.
It takes stamina to reach real and lasting success.
Your stamina to continue even when the journey becomes a long one will be determined by your mindset.
The road to success has no real shortcuts. It can be a long road (but full of adventure and excitement), and it will take stamina to travel it. But the end result will be worth it.
So never give up! You will love yourself for it later when you are enjoying the freedom that success brings.
- Do you have the stamina to travel the road to success?
That depends on your mindset. - Is your focus fixed on your goal or do you keep looking at the long road ahead?
That depends on how passionate you are about your goals. - Are they really goals, or are they dreams?
Turn your dreams into goals, your goals into plans, your plans into action and your action will lead to success. - Are you determined to reach your goals no matter what the cost?
I am sure you are because:

[...] 3. Your stamina to continue even when the journey becomes a long one will depend on your mindset. The road to success is not as easy as many would have us think. Many “overnight successes” actually come after many long months or even years of laying the foundation. One way or another, your stamina for the long haul is needed. This means you will need to have a strong focus on your goal and a determination to reach it even when it does not come instantly. [...]
